I-Lab Grand Prize for Compliance Robotics

on September 26, 2024

Compliance Robotics, a start-up resulting from the research work of the DEFROST team (CO2 Group in the CRIStAL laboratory), housed at Inria, has been awarded the i-Lab 2024 Grand Prize, a prestigious award given to just 10 innovative start-up projects in France. Compliance Robotics is one of the 2 prizewinners in the digital, software technologies and communications field. The company plans to roll out a new generation of robots for industry, with its flagship product the Hollow OTS (Object Transfer System), a hollow collaborative robot designed for tasks such as packaging fragile objects or picking, combining speed and safety. Based on the principles of deformable robotics, this robot, which requires fewer resources, aims to simplify the integration of collaborative robots in various sectors, with variations for applications such as painting or inspection. Compliance Robotics, with its team of experts, aims to become a key player in industrial and collaborative robotics within ten years, supported by partners in various sectors, while disseminating knowledge about deformable robotics through an educational robot, EMIO.
