Popular in many applications, Bayesian statistics involve the calculation of abstract volumes (integrals) in large dimensions (tens, even hundreds and more). To this end, Rémi Bardenet of the Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille (CRIStAL - CNRS/Université de Lille/ Centrale Lille) is building and studying random objects, repulsive point processes, and AI to numerically estimate volumes efficiently. link
