The University of Lille develops the first container robot

Who knew that the University of Lille was home to one of the champions of autonomous vehicle research? The CRIStAL laboratory, a computer and signal specialist, has been working on autonomous automotive systems for more than ten years. In association with Gaussin Manugistique, he developed one of the world’s first container robots. A technology that the industry is just starting to commercialize. This commercial success is the result of a European project that began more than 10 years ago. A time when the autonomous vehicle was still a chimera.
