Innovation & Robotics - AUTONOMOUS DRIVING VASCO

on December 1, 2019

VASCO Project: after 3 years of industrial research in France, we are proud to present this port mobile robotics system. This project, with a budget of 16 million euros, was developed in collaboration with CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique (LS2N, CRIStAL) and the French companies GAUSSIN GROUP and BA Systèmes (B2A Technology).

With a capacity of 70 tons, the mobile robot is equipped with a high-performance battery ensuring 8 hours of autonomy. To locate itself, the robot does not use any external infrastructure. Laser scanners allow the management of safety around the machine. A computer supervisor, in conjunction with the port management system, manages the traffic of mobile robots.

Congratulations to the entire team of technicians and engineers and thank you to the staff and dockworkers at Delta3 Harbour.
