A steerable drone full of promise

A team at the Inria Lille - Nord Europe center has just created an autonomous drone capable of flying alone for several days in an enclosed area, without the need to stay nearby to pilot it or change its batteries. The solution? A dirigible balloon obeying new “model-free” robotic control laws.

The Non-A Post team works jointly with Centrale Lille, CNRS and the University of Lille (within UMR 9189 CNRS-Centrale Lille-Université de Lille, CRIStAL).
