The body has been the subject of philosophical, scientific and religious reflection since Antiquity, with the central question remaining: what are the limits of the body?

Through texts written by researchers, practitioners, we take a critical look at questions relating to the emerging relationship between body and mind, the possibility of artificial intelligence, the scope of fabrication, augmentation or repair of the body, and the social constructions of images of the body and their uses.

Despite advances in our knowledge, there is no clear diciding line between body and mind, consciousness and throught.

One boundary seems insurmountable: that of our ability to create from scratch a body that thinks for itself, about itself.
