Bioinformatics for Third Generation Sequencing

on June 9, 2015

The Lille bioinformatics platform is organizing a one-day workshop on Third Generation Sequencing.

After a first revolution in the middle 2000, with the apparition of high throughput sequencers, the genetics and genomics is now living a second revolution with the access to a new generation of technologies. These new sequencers, mainly PacBio and Oxford Nanopore, allow to sequence genomic material without fragmentation nor clonal amplification and make the promise of more accessible sequencing data. The performances, the quality of generated data, the new applications and solutions of analysis for this Third Generation Sequencing will be discussed over the day.

The meeting will be held at Institut Pasteur de Lille, lecture hall Buttiaux.
