The Pharo platform is a pure object-oriented programming language and a powerful environment, focused on simplicity and immediate feedback (think IDE and OS rolled into one). Pharo has unique pedagogical properties and is used worldwide in 40 universities to teach object-oriented programming. Pharo supports 20 international research groups. Pharo development is sustained by an industrial consortium of 46 members.
