In the corridors of the CRIStAL laboratory at the University of Lille, teams of researchers are busy creating simulation environments capable of accurately reproducing the real world, paving the way for safer and more intelligent autonomous vehicles. Viametris, the manufacturer of the MS-96 mobile scanner, interviewed two researchers, Zaynab El Mawas, a post-doctoral researcher, and Gérald Dherbomez, a CNRS research engineer and technical manager of the Lille robotics and intelligent transport research platform (PRETIL), to find out more about this project and how the scanner is being integrated into their research work.
