DESIGNING SIMULATIONS WHICH CAN HANDLE HOMOGENEOUSLY SEVERAL KINDS OF ENTITIES : SOFTWARE AGENTS, SMART OBJECTS, HUMAN USERS.
Purpose of the projectThe goal of this project is to control an Multi-Agent Simulation using a Tactile Table as the User Interface. Therefore, an extension for the NetLogo platform has been developed and tested through several applications. The current study focuses on the interactions between computer agents, electronic agents (robots) and human agents.
Equipment UsedWe used the Microsoft PixelSense table to experiment the project. Unlike capacitive screens, InfraRed-based tables have the ability to detect tags and blobs in addition to fingers. (e.g. The PixelSense). Together with the TUIO Protocol, this interface provides a rich interaction experience, between users, physical objects and simulated agents.
